It’s normal to feel nervous in some social situations; feelings of shyness and discomfort aren’t necessarily signs of social anxiety. In contrast to everyday nervousness, social anxiety might involve a sense of fear, anxiety and avoidance that interfere with relationships, daily routines, work, school or other activities. For someone with social anxiety, it is common to constantly avoid or fear social situations in which they are perceived or judged by others. Our therapists are trained to support clients in facing and overcoming their stress in a clinically supervised and gradual way, using empirically supported modalities, such as Exposure Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Relaxation therapy.
Our Clinical Care Team has developed a thoughtful, collaborative process to pair you with a clinician whose expertise and interpersonal style align with your unique needs and goals.
All in-person sessions are held out of our office at 1200 Bay Street, located in Toronto, Ontario.
Our team of Psychologists and Psychotherapists provide virtual therapy to clients residing in Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Prince Edward Island (Psychotherapy only).
