Adult Therapy & Psychological Assessments

Evidence-based therapy and comprehensive adult assessments

Individual Therapy

We offer psychotherapy for a wide range of concerns, from everyday challenges to more serious issues. You don’t need a formal mental health diagnosis to seek therapy.

Here are some examples of the areas we address:

Our Clinical Care Team has developed a thoughtful, collaborative process to pair you with a clinician whose expertise and interpersonal style align with your unique needs and goals.

Relationship and Couples Therapy

We provide couples and relationship therapy that goes beyond surface-level solutions. Our work is grounded in a science-based model developed to address the deeper emotional and relational patterns that shape your relationship. We’ve also developed an emotion focused couples approach that has been shown to help couples who were feeling stuck, resolve emotional injury and betrayal (Greenberg, Warwar, Malcolm, 2010).

Whether you're struggling with communication, recovering from betrayal, or feeling stuck in recurring conflict, our approach helps uncover the root causes and promotes lasting, meaningful change. Drawing from leading research in attachment, emotion, and interpersonal dynamics, we guide couples in healing relational wounds, building trust, and creating new ways of connecting that are both emotionally secure and sustainable.

What we offer is about more than communication and managing conflict, it’s about reshaping how you understand, respond to, and support each other for long-term growth and connection.

Whether you’re navigating a challenging situation or seeking to enrich your bond, we work with couples at every stage to foster deeper connection and lasting growth, together.

Psychological and ADHD Assessments

A psychological assessment can help you better understand a concern or a challenge you are experiencing. Assessments can clarify whether a mental health diagnosis is present, explore the emotional or cognitive factors contributing to your symptoms, or guide the development of an effective, personalized treatment plan.

We offer assessments for a variety of concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related symptoms, adult ADHD, and some personality disorders.

Gender Affirming Care

Our Centre is offering psychodiagnostic assessments conducted by psychologists for Gender Dysphoria as well as medical (hormone, surgical) readiness assessments (as secondary assessors in the case of assessments for gender-affirming surgery), consistent with guidelines outlined by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). As the Ministry of Ontario of Long-Term Health and Care is currently guided by the WPATH Standards of Care (Version 7) for funded surgical care, assessments conducted at the Centre will adhere to these standards.

Psychodiagnostic and/or readiness assessments may involve at least one or more assessment appointments, focused on the WPATH standards of care, followed by a feedback appointment, wherein documentation is collaboratively reviewed. A detailed, comprehensive report (including diagnostic considerations and recommendations for next steps) will be completed and provided to the client as part of this assessment. To increase accessibility, alternative OHIP-covered/low-cost pathways to obtaining psychodiagnostic and/or readiness assessments will be discussed during the intake. Furthermore, a sliding scale rate is available dependent on need.

We also offer psychological treatment for clients wishing to pursue individual and/or couples therapy for gender related exploration and/or concerns (e.g., for individual: exploring gender identity, navigating prejudice and discrimination, familial and other interpersonal relationships, intersectional concerns related to gender and race, sexuality, religion, etc.; for couples: gender identity and impact on romantic relationship, parenting as a trans and/or gender-diverse parent, navigating gender identity and outness with immediate and extended family members and community, etc.).
